Multimedia Course In Singapore- The New Trend In Singapore Education
Singapore is an island city-state with a diverse cultural and linguistic heritage and a thriving modern economy. It is a centre of commerce, with one of the most business-friendly economies in the world. With little to no natural resources, the success of Singapore is based on its population capabilities and wish to succeed.
In 2005, Singapore was the host to over 70,000 international students. And in the last few years this number is further growing. When it comes to multimedia courses, which are especially popular right now, due to the development of multimedia technologies, Singapore truly has a lot to offer. Right now, there are at least 8 educational institutions that are offering various multimedia courses here in Singapore. Some of them are: SIM University, Nanyang Polytechnic, Raffles Design Institute, The School of Audio Engineering (SAE), KnowledgeWindow Asia Pacific, Cavalry School of Management and Design, Eastwest Education Centre and Egg Story Digital Arts School. Here we will discuss some of them.
SIM University
SIM University, which started working in 2005, is placed near Clementi Road in Singapore. This university, privately funded, approximately has 8,000 students in its programs. This university offers over forty tertiary-level programs in four schools which are forming this university. The one important for students interested in a multimedia course in Singapore would be the Science & Technology school of this university.
Nanyang Polytechnic
This school was established in 1992, and it is a polytechnic school, located in Ang Mo Kio. Nanyang Polytechnic has 14,233 students enrolled. This Polytechnic comprises of seven different schools. School of Interactive & Digital Media is the school that holds the multimedia courses in the Nanyang Polytechnic University. The studies in this school include the studies for the following diplomas: Digital Visual Effects and three type of diplomas in Digital Media Design.
Raffles Design Institute
This institution started working in 1990. The Institute offers the Masters of Design in Multimedia, Bachelor of Design in Multimedia and other courses. The Bachelor of Design Majoring in Multimedia Design studies offer to equip students with the basic, broad, skills in graphic design, which allow the students to learn to transform 2D graphics in a 3D world through creating interfaces and integrating programming abilities in order to illustrate the wonderful possibilities of using forms of interactive media.
